“Yeah Baby! Yeah!” Powers and Dr. Evil Ringers

Spoken Effects on Your Phone

The Duke of Dork lives on and though his video games were not the smash successes that the movies were, it’s the character we’ve grown to love and we’ll take him however we can get him. The “Austin Powers Operation Trivia” game, released for the PC and Mac in 1999, gave us another dose of those famous one-liners fans have come to love. But it was the Austin Powers (groovy) Pinball game, which pit players against the malevolent minions of Dr. Evil, that delivered the most fun. Here players flip through 14 separate missions, including Groovy Baby, Subterranean Probe, and Mini-Me!, complete with the voices of Mike Myers and Robert Wagner. Groovy Baby!

Oh, Behave!

“Oh, Behave!” and “Welcome to my Underground Lair” were both released in 2000 for the Game Boy Color and contained a variety of mini games, as well as a calculator&emdash;Shagulator or Frickulator,&emdash;mini organizer and word processor. Featuring such arcade style mini games as “Mojo Maze” and “Rock or Paper or Scissors,” the games contained customizable sound effects and wall paper and could be linked up to be played with friends.

Remember Dr. Evil’s, “Rahhh-ite,” and the ever popular “MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

The Austin Powers series of movies and video games drew legions of fans hungry for more quirky knowledge of the 60s. At the same time his comedic talent and affection for the era poked fun at those who have cast the decade in a more serious and dour light than it deserves.

Sound Effects and Music

Austin Powers&7rsquo; signature theme song is “Soul Bossa Nova.” Composed by Quincy Jones, the tune fits the quirky Austin Powers to a tee. Because of this, it has become a popular ringtone, along with several shout-outs from Powers and Dr. Evil. In fact, most of the memorable sound effects from the Austin Powers movies and video games are spoken.

Sounds:

  1. Oh, behave!
  2. Yeah Baby! Yeah!
  3. Groovy, baby!
  4. Very Shagadelic!
  5. Hey baby, what's your sign?
  6. This sort of thing ain't my bag, baby!
  7. Crikey! I've lost my mojo!
