Polyphonic Remain Popular

Of course MP3s and real music ring tones are the newest rage, but cellphones must be compatible to use the technology. Most cellphone users are slow to convert to advanced technology and right now while mp3 ringtones are becoming big business many cell phones in use are not mp3-compatible, so polyphonic tones remain almost as popular. And polyphonic ringtones are not likely to go anywhere anytime soon.

Also, even for those with an MP3 compatible cellphone a polyphonic ringtone can be a fun and versatile option for your ringtone library. Many offer a decidedly different sound from that MP3 ring tone and may brand that special someone with just the right digital mix of minimalist tones.
